- Global Colors launches the MY
WORLD WISH CAMPAIGN.
2007
October
- GC moves day to day operations from Los Angeles to
New York City.
September
- We travel to Burma to begin work with the
CIDKP, The Burma Children Medical Fund, and Bleeding
Hearts Media. We immediately purchase a much needed
Boat for the CIDKP (Committee for the Internally Displaced
Karen People) and begin development on our 2008 project
for the Burmese refugees.
September - Cambodia
BACK TO SCHOOL program. GC travels to Cambodia
to personally put 120 vulnerable children in school
for the year, providing their uniforms, supplies, school
fees, medical check-ups, and all other necessities.
June
- After presenting ideas for global outreach projects
to Mrs. Bush's staff for nearly a year, the First Lady
and Jenna Bush joined Barton in Senegal to visit the
DIG project.
Barton has been working with Steve Bolinger from Development
in Gardening, and to coordinate a visit at that level
is one of Global Colors' greatest accomplishments to
date.
April
- We were approached by friends and family
of JEFF SCOTT
to do a project in his memory, and began our Family
Aid Program in Cambodia.

April - Global Colors was invited to the White
House to attend the Rose Garden ceremony with President
and Mrs. Bush to launch MALARIA
AWARENESS DAY.
March - DraftFCB is one of the largest international
advertising agencies, and selected Global Colors as
the non-profit they support through pro-bono counsel.
The first project was overseen by Lancaster University,
and was a resounding success in London.

February - Mike Weber and his team raced for
Global Colors in the PLYMOUTH
TO BANJUL CHALLENGE, raising money for
Global Colors projects in Africa.
2006
December - Joy
Haynes oversees a day of giving and smiles at Loscarasucias,
in Argentina. Ms. Haynes collected donations through
Global Colors, and took school supplies for everychild
at the home, and stocked the home with food and books.

December
- Global Colors is selected by CAA (Creative
Artists Agency) to launch their volunteer vacation program,
taking CAA employees to Africa to work in Mozambique
and South Africa. To read about the project, visit

December - Global Colors has our one year anniversary
party at Cinespace in Los Angeles. It was a wonderful
evening where we screened our projects from the previous
year.

November - Former Senator Tom Daschle holds
a fundraiser at his home in Washington D.C. for our
team competing in the PLYMOUTH
TO BANJUL CHALLENGE. The evening was a
remarkable success.
September - Barton is selected as "Activism
Correspondent" and is interviewed on Mania TV to
discuss our recently accomplished projects, explain
the website, and talk about our programs.

September - Global Colors is personally invited
by the First Lady of the United States, Laura Bush,
to be an advisor at the United Nations to address the
needs of the Burmese refugees. For the entire story,

August - We search throughout Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia to find the Women Fuelwood Carriers. This is
a project we feel very strongly about, and look forward

- In
the Oronkai District of Kenya there is a school that
is in desperate need of help. With a generous donation,
we build the first bathroom at the school, and develop
a plan make a major difference in the future. Please

July - We
accomplish our "Cattle for Kenya Project"
providing a source of income and nutrition with lifesaving
cattle to the women of the Maasai Mara. To view the

- We
partner with The Kazuri Bead Factory in Nairobi to bring
awareness to the factory by selling their product here

June
- Volunteers travel to an orphanage in Bonfil,
Mexico to deliver toys, stuffed animals, and a monetary
donation provided by Gund, Inc.

April
- We organize a contingent to represent Global
Colors at the Global Night Commute, to aid awareness
to
INVISIBLE CHILDREN. This group is dedicated
to end Africa's longest running conflict between the
LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) and the Ugandan government,
by facilitating a change in the policies of the U.S.
Government in regard to the situation.

March – Global Colors Internship Program with
UCLA begins - signing 24 interns to aid with research
and project development. Meet some

February
– Representatives from Global Colors travel
to London, Paris, and Torino to meet with European NGO’s,
the non-profit development agency Merkle/Domain, and
to represent Global Colors at the Winter Olympic Village.
January
– Global Colors secures pro-bono legal representation
by the law firm of Fenwick & West, LLP in San Francisco,

November
– Officially receives 501(c)3 non-profit status
from the federal government

November – GC travels to Cambodia with a sponsorship
from UCLA, The Ty Corporation, and American Apparel,
to give back to the boys who were the inspiration for
